Dangerous / Hazardous Tree Removal

Fallen, Damaged, diseased or Dead trees can cause a serious safety concern and should only be worked on by professionally trained and competent tree surgeons. Our team of industry qualified, fully insured tree surgeons have the expertise to deal with any tree in any situation.

Tree Felling

Often the reason being safety because the Tree is dead, diseased or decayed. We also understand that trees can be unwanted or a nuisance.

There are many techniques in felling trees the most commonly known being ground level felling, were a series of precise cuts are made to fell the tree at ground level. Although the main reason we are called in to fell trees is to dismantle the tree in sections, our expert Arborists will undertake this by climbing the tree or using a MEWP (Mobile Elevate Work Platform). We determine which method is used after an evaluation of the trees condition and its location. At Kinvig Tree Services we have the expertise and the right tools to deal with any tree in any situation.

Mature Tree Pruning

Mature trees require pruning to remove dead and dying branches to maintain tree health and safety we refer to this type of pruning as crown cleaning. Crown thinning the removal of live branches to reduce crown density, significantly reduces wind resistance and storm damage. Mature trees can also benefit from a crown reduction to compensate for structural weakness or to improve form and shape of the crown.

Formative Pruning

Formative Pruning is an important but often overlooked type of pruning for younger trees. Pruning trees when they are young and growing quickly is critical to ensuring a strong framework for future growth.

Tree Restoration

We carry out restoration work on trees that have been badly pruned in the past, although we can not help trees that have been pruned to hard, that lies with the trees resistance. We can help with the form of trees that have been topped badly.

Pollarding

Pollarding is generally not used in modern arboriculture. It should not be carried out unless a tree has previously been pollarded, large wounds are created during the pollarding process and can initiate fatal decay. A crown reduction is a more suitable alternative.

Cable Bracing

Cables and brace rods are supplemental supports intended to reduce the risk of failure on weak branches and multiple stems. Cables are installed in the upper crown of the tree intend to limit the movement of supported branches so they are less likely to fail. Support systems should only be installed by trained tree surgeons and should be inspected every year.

Kinvig Tree Services undertakes all aspects of hedge and shrub care to keep your garden tidy and under control. Hedges should be trimmed annually to ensure the best results. Our team carry out annual hedge trimming to the highest standard, always rake and dispose of waste responsibly.
